Ahmad Khatib

Ahmad is a highly accomplished finance and business professional with a wealth of experience in various sectors. He is currently the co-founder of Mafhoom Technologies, a startup developing a personal financial management app that uses open banking technology and advanced AI to help users improve their financial well-being. He is also a co-founder of Predicta Labs, a startup that provides AI-powered predictions of asset prices in financial markets.

In addition to his work in the startup space, Ahmad serves as an advisor to the board of CFI Financial Group, a prominent financial group with a wide geographical presence. In this role, he provides strategic and business advice, and oversees projects related to new markets, new products and corporate development. He is also a partner at Golden Hill, a management consulting firm, where he offers his insights on business transformation, strategy development, marketing, product management, business development, customer experience, and operations optimization.

Previously, Ahmad was the founding CEO of Amana Capital Group for over a decade. During his tenure, he was instrumental in establishing the company and its subsidiaries in multiple jurisdictions. He also played a key role in defining and implementing strategic initiatives, overseeing various departments, and making investment decisions. In addition, he represented the company in interactions with regulatory bodies and government authorities.

Ahmad also held leadership positions as the executive director of 180 Capital, a diverse holding company encompassing fintech, asset management, and brokerage, and as the CFO of Orion Holding Overseas and Dubai TV. In these roles, he demonstrated his financial expertise and managerial skills by overseeing financial planning and reporting, banking relations, policy development, and change management initiatives. Ahmad began his career at Arthur Andersen and Arab Bank, where he honed his skills in auditing, financial analysis, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the American University of Beirut and is a certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA), and holder of a certificate in international financial reporting (CertIFR).

Ahmad is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with others. He has taught professional courses related to accounting and finance at Morgan International and Dubai University. He has also made notable contributions to the media landscape by appearing as a TV guest on various channels and writing columns for prominent publications.Ahmad was active in professional associations and has held leadership roles in organizations such as the Association of Financial Institutions in Lebanon (AFIL), the AUB Alumni Association, The Financial Markets Association (ACI), and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). His involvement in these organizations demonstrates his commitment to professional growth and contributing to the financial community.
